Our poplar firewood is a versatile hardwood that lights easily and provides a comfortable, steady heat. It’s a great choice for everyday home heating, wood stoves, fireplaces, outdoor boilers, or for anyone looking for an economical firewood option.
Poplar is less dense than oak, which means it catches more quickly and burns faster. This makes it especially useful for getting a fire going, milder weather, or regular heating where you don’t need the longer burn time of a denser hardwood. The wood is cut and split, ready to use or season further depending on your storage.
For details on how we measure and supply firewood, please see the measurement section on our Pricing page.
Why choose poplar firewood
- Easy to light and quick to establish a fire
- Good heat output for everyday use
- Great for shoulder seasons and milder weather
- Useful on its own or mixed with denser hardwoods for longer burns
- Works well in wood stoves, fireplaces, and outdoor boilers
Sizes
- 1 cord: approx. 100 cubic feet stacked
- IBC tote, loose fill: about 1/3 cord (approx. 38 cubic feet). Add the $60 tote deposit to your order. It is refunded when you return the tote.
- Truck box, half or full, loose fill: measured flush with the top of the box and priced at $2.80 per cubic foot
- Truck box, full, tightly stacked: wood stacked tightly and flush with the top of the box, priced at $3.60 per cubic foot. A stacked box holds more wood than a loose-fill box.
